Marjory and Gordon
Marjory and GordonWelcome to our website.
We are a husband and wife couple based near Edinburgh in Scotland. This is our weblog.
Marjory is a nurse and Gordon is a family doctor. We discovered that Marjory had breast cancer in April 2006 and decided to set up this site to share our experiences with you. Many of the breast cancer websites are excellent but there are only a few that describe the day to day experiences of the sufferer - and none that we have found that explore the issues of the sufferers partner.
Please feel free to comment or to share your own experiences. We'd love to hear from you.
It's our hope that this site will grow into a unique resource for those with breast cancer.
Please visit from time to time.

Hello! I'm Dari Justice from the US. I wanted to send you well wishes, prayers and all my leftover energy. :-) I am now, officially, a breast cancer survivor. I just finished chemotherapy two weeks ago.
It's a long, hard battle (for me) but with the loving support of your husband. The smiles of your children and a sense of humor, it is very possible to take some of the edge off of the ugliness. Laughing makes the bad days good and the good days better.
Godspeed to you and your family.
Thanks for your kind words Dari

Dear Marjory-
I saw your husband's posting on the American Cancer Society's web site, and felt I have to write to you.
I too was diagnosed in early April. I had a 1.4 cm cancer, no lymph nodes were affected. Currently I am undergoing radiation treatment. Soon I will be starting a regiment with Aromasin.
I am 59, and a grandmother of 4. It must be so much harder to go through this ordeal with small children who need their mom and don't understand what is going on. My prayers are with you and your family, Marjory.
Thank heaven for good husbands! :) I have a good one too. When I was diagnosed, he was the strong one. He told me that this is "our" cancer, and "we" get through this together.
For the duration of my radiation treatment I have to be away from home for 6 weeks. My body is here, but my heart is at home with my husband.
May God bless you and yours richly, Marjory.
With the kindest regards,
katria

Good morning! I try to browse through breast cancer blogs, just to find other people like me. Two years ago I was 29 years old and 8 months pregnant with my third (I miscarried the first baby) child. My oldest was 18 months old. I finished my year-length treatment of Herceptin this past may, did AC chemo for 3 months, 5 weeks of rads, and had my TRAM a year ago April. Anyway, I am going to add you to my favorite blog list, it's nice to have your feeling verified by other cancer people. Keep on keeping on!
Sue
Dear Marjory:
I had a bi-lateral mastectomy Sept. 12,2006, no lymph node involvement(Thank God). I did develop however what I now know are seroma's on both sides. My doctor kept saying they were nothing because on first aspiration nothing showed up. I went to a plastic surgeon I know and the one that was tremendous was aspirated and I have an appointment next week for more.
I felt I was losing my mind with my surgeon saying it was nothing and I had this breast like growth! Please readers if you are not satisfied with an answer seek someone else you are not nuts. I know I am very lucky I need no more treatment but felt I should share this and may God Bless all of you.
