Glad Marjory is participating! I'm a runner, I was training for a half marathon when i was diagnosed with breast cancer. In fact, my timeline is really close to Marjory's, I'm 2 weeks out of mastectomy. Since I also did immediate reconstruction, I won't be running for a few more weeks. (waaah!).
I really like your blog, in fact I've linked to you in my blog.
Keep posting, and keep running or walking!

Hi Abigail
Well have completed the race for life and feel great! Have had a lovely weekend-lots of nice kids things yesterday then fantastic Bon Jovi concert last night in Glasgow then race today. Keeping busy is fantastic medicine!!
Having done this race many times before it felt very strange doing it today with my own name on my back.
Hope you can get back to your running soon, I know how you must miss it. While not a fitness freak I do keep quite fit and realised today how quickly it goes(being 41 certainly wont help!!)
Marjory
congrats on completing the race! You inspired me to register for the Race for the Cure, here in NY in september. It's a 5K, and I'm hoping I can run it by that time. If not, i'll run/walk.
And then Bon Jovi on top of it! sounds like a great weekend. We here are cleaning the house this weekend YUCK!
anyway, thanks for reporting on the race. You and I are only about a week or so apart in our "cancer lives" (I had surgery 2 weeks ago), so we'll both be doing chemo soon. oh joy...
take care and keep posting!
