Strange Brain

chemo brain

Not really sure what to blame but something has scrambled my brain. Now, I hear you all .... middle aged woman going thro enforced menopause ..... of course you have a scrambled brain.

Now while that may be the answer, I personally am blaming the steroids.

God, they're horrible!

On the day of the poisoning by taxotere I feel ok. Next day my body feels strange and tired. The answer should be wee nap in the afternoon, but NO. My mind is so wired and agitated I found myself planning next years Christmas dinner - not this years. This goes on for two or three days then WHAM, I'm the most depressing person to be around.
I read an article about "brain fog" and I'm pretty sure I know what they mean!

Must be very confusing for my poor family. It really takes a whole week of strange behaviour to be anything approaching normal.

Think of it a strange cross between being senile, a drug addict and premenstrual all at once.
Some may say " and the difference from before is ..... ?"

Fair point ( minus the drugs of course) !

PS - Gordon has been trying to sort out a problem with medical coding recently and says that his brain has fogged up too ! Now that would be something ..... :-)

Hi,

Did you ever think about taking Anti Depression medecine?

I can imagine you say: another medecine: I am a walking pharmacy already. That's what I think about myself with my non treatable liver cancer.

Yet the AD medecine boost just gave me an extra psychological help to cope with things in a what they say "normal" way.

Myself I never took chemo, which is another story, therfore if you would like to exchange a link with me so our readers can opt for yes or no chemo with our cancer stories, please leave a comment on my site at http://www.metastaticlivercancer.org

A very big hug!

Hi, I am 29 and was diagnosed with IDC in July 2006. I am scheduled to receive my last chemo on 12/19! YAY! Anyway, I totally agree with you about the steroids, my chemo is also FEC, I believe you had the same? The steroids suck! I just looked up the side effects and linked all my complaints back to them! But I guess they are a necessary evil...Anyway, I have has so much on my mind that I finally started my own blog today. If you are interested it is http://bcgirl28.blogspot.com
I will keep checking in with you...I wish you the best of luck!

Hi,
I'd like to post an information regarding to Cancers Cure in this Blog. Hopefully would be usefull.

There are a Famous Red Fruit just found in Indonesia that have cured hiundreds of Cancers (mostly breast cancers) and a 23yo girl from HIV Aids with its extract but still got no chance to be a patented medicine.

The Red Fruit has not just cured HIV Aids but hundreds of dgenerative diseases suc as Cancers, Breast Cancer, Ovarium cancer, prostate cancer, Brain Cancer, Lung Cancer etc.

Today the Fruit still just an alternative natural medicine among indonesian as the drug company would never patented any traditional medicine as they can not make them any profit as required by law. Yes, suprising fact, the law does not require a drug company to make a medicine that benefit to people but one that make the company profit.

Several Books, Mags and Sites on Red Fruit are available but limit in English. One of english site can be found in

http://www.aidscancercure.com/

Hopefully this information can dig more attention on a small lite of emerging cure from east asia.
