My GP felt "something suspicious" in my R breast at first visit to her in 3 years last month. I had no idea. I quit self-exams, mammo's & even dr.'s visits 3 years ago, because it just made me worry too much and 3 mammo's between ages 40 and 44 came back normal anyway.Thought my husband would feel if there was something suspicious, because he is a doctor - he didn't. My breasts have always been lumpy and "emotional", so I never knew what was "normal" anyway. Scheduled for diagnostic mammogram & ultrasound on Nov. 16th. For me this is just beginning...I'll let you know what happens on Nov. 16th.

I am 46 & also married to a GP in Kitimat,BC, Cana...

I am 46 & also married to a GP in Kitimat,BC, Canada. Always had lumpy, confusing breasts and in 2004 gave up on self-xams, mammo's and GP visits after 3 normal mammo's since 2001.It just made me paranoid. My GP felt something suspicious in R breast when I went to see her after 3 yr. hiatus last month.(I was unaware of it). Going for diagnostic mammo + ultrasound on Nov. 16th. I'm worried and so is my husband. I have wide hips, so now I'm worried about my 16-year old daughter as well! Will let you know how it goes. Not diagnosed yet!

I knew that height was a predictor but not hip siz...

I knew that height was a predictor but not hip size.
