February 2010
Hello and welcome to our site.
We first started blogging about our experience of breast cancer in early 2006 - having made the decision to do it pretty much on the way home from hospital on the day that Marjory was diagnosed. It's been a busy four years one way and another and keeping the site updated has slipped below the priority line sometimes. Even at that we know for sure we've reached out to many thousands of you - as you've shared our struggle in coming to terms with breast cancer and how it affects the woman and her family.
Your emails and comments posted on the site have been a great source of inspiration both to us and to others. The kind of information you need isn't always easy to find and it was always our hope to offer help and support.
I guess we figured we could turn something awful into something better if we reached out to others - from the start we were determined to post our story, explaining, exploring and reassuring as best we could.
It's now four years since the start of our adventure. Marjory is now nearly 45. Anna our youngest is nearly eight and the older kids are in various stages of university, work or high school. So far all is well - and the stresses and strains of "normal life" have taken over from those of illness, hospitals and clinics.
Thank you for visiting our little site. The best way to use it is to browse around through the posts. We do plan to put it all in time order but haven't quite gotten around to it yet ... sorry ! Alternatively you can click on the labels attached to posts to find others with related content.
Please leave us your comments. We enjoy reading them and other readers find your shared experience invaluable.
We hope you are well as you read this and that you stay well and happy.
Love and thanks
Marjory and Gordon Cameron
